MORE IMMIGRANTS ARRIVE
PASSENGERS BY RIMUTAKA. A good number of people assembled on tile King's Wharf at about 1 o'olock yesterday,' when tho liner Rimutaka, which had arrived earlier in the morning from London, berthed. Tho liner carried 323 passengers, the majority of whom were immigrants. About 100 of these were nominated, while nearly as any enmo out under the Imperial Government's overseas settlement scheme. Thero were a number of N.Z.E.F. details, including several non-commissioned officers, aboard tho vessel. The Immigration Department mnde arrangements so that the majority of the passengers went on to their destinations last night.
The trip was a fair-weather one until the steamer was a couple of days out from Wellington. The health of oil on board was generally good, only a few mild attacks of measles and diphtheria lieing experienced during the voyage, and all- but two patients had thoroughly recovered by the time the vessel arrived.
