MAGISTRATE'S COURT
There was a short sitting of tho Magistrate's Court on Saturday morninir, with Mr. J. s; Evans, S.M., on the bench. A young woman; Elizabeth Quccnio Sink, was charged that on December 8, 1919, at Wellington, she caused to be mndo fir tho purpose of being inserted in tno Register Book Of Births, a certain false statement touching tho particulars required to bo knowu and registered under the Births and Deaths Registration Act. I°OS On the application of Chief Detec•live Ward, tho accused was remanded to Wednesday. Mr. Hellish, who appeared for her, asked for bail, but the Magistrate, preferred to place her in charge or the Salvation Army.
