« BEOOKLYN OLTJB. The Brooklyn Harriers ran from Wadci>town as the guests of Mr. apd Mrs. Bell on Saturday. The pack kept to the. road till Wilton's Bush wad reached, then went across-country, plenty of hills, creeks, and bußh being encountered. A halt wa» made some 500 yardß from homo, and a handicap run in was held, which resultCollins, 1; F. Harlcn, 2; 31. Robinboh, 3. Tea was provided by Mrs. Bell and was much appreciated bv all present. On Saturday next at Miramar, tne ladies' bracelet race will be held over a Two and a half-mile steeplechase course. Thiß race ia held with the idea of encouraging lady supporters of the club. OLYMPIC OLUB. At the Invitation of Mr. and Mrs. TJ. J. Alabaster, the members of the Olympic Club held their weekly run on Saturday at Brooklyn.' The course laid by R. F. Osborne and A. F. Workman led down the spur overlooking Ohiro Road to Fitchett's farm, and back to Brooklyn along tho road, a distance of about seven miles. At tne onclusion of the run, afternoon tea. was served, followed bv a social evening. Items, were contributed by Messrs. E. Solman, N. B. Oarwcll-Cooke, A. Traney, It. F. Osborne. W. G. Wilkinson, P. Wilson, A. S. Laune, D. J. Aiabaßter, J. Perston, and S. Sneddon, while Mr. Pennington presided at the piano. During the evening Mr. T. H. Wilson (vice-president) thanked the host, hostess, and lady helpers for their very »uccesful effort on behalf of tho club, the boys showing their appreciation in three hearty cheers. Mr. W. Scratchard (club captain) called tor cheers for Mr. W. 11. Philp (president) and Mrs. Philp. The run next finturday will take place at Lyall Bay, when the Wilson Memorial Handicap (three mileß) will be competed for. Mr. W. H. Bennett, who haß been connected with "hnrrierlsm" for many years, was presented at Miramar recently with an onamelled gold medal of life membership of tho Olympic Harrier and A.A. Club.
