COMMENT ON MINISTER'S FIGURES The Minister of Education (the Hon. C. J. Varr), in his reply on the ■.■Budget debate, while freely admitting that something'was due to the teachers m the :vav of salary increase, slated that the position of teachers was not so black, as painted, for they had received increases during the. war period equal to CO per cent.
