MAGISTRATES' SALARIES
increases Proposed. Magistrates' salaries are dealt with in the Magistrates' Court Bill, introduced in the House, yesterday. The Minister of Justice (Mr. Lee) explained that the Bill proposed to make the salaries of the Chief Magistrates in ",tlio four centres .£9OO per annum, the salaries of the second Magistrates in Wellington and Auckland .£BSO, and of other Magistrates .£BOO.
