BOY SCOUT MOVEMENT
Sir,—Some adverse comment has been mniie in rarious papers in ro tho work at Headquarters of the Boy Scouts' Association and the expenditure in connection with it. I write to sav that, as far as the Wellington North provinco is concerned, I nm not aware of dissatisfaction, nor is it thought that Headquarters Staff are in any way extravagant with tho funds. In all roltmtary work such as the scouts there aro always porkers who kick against > tho pricks. Discord in such a movement would ho a groat disappointment to many who hava taken part in tho work, and as for "red tape" which is complained of, wo have not found this in any way unusual in the Headquarters wrk. Those who havo boon connected witharar work know what "grousing" goes 011 by the subs, of their major, and in tJicir turn of the colonel, and again the whole believe the ( ;eneml is an old fool, and think any of them could improve matters. It means nothing, because tho officers know tho discipline of the Army will not allow it.-* I am, etc.
JAMES G. WILSON, Commissioner 'Wellington. North Dominion. Boy Scouts. Bulls, July 20, 1920.
