ENGLISH TEAM AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auoklnnd, July 19. The English Northern Union football team arrived from Australia by the Jfaheno to-day. The toam will be accorded a civic reception to-morrow. The llrst match of the New Zealand tour will be against Auckland on Saturday. The manager of the team: Mr. 8. Foster, in an interview, said he con-.tdered the team-was the fastest that had ever left • England. He did not think they had produced their best form yet, England should have won the first test match in Australia, but the team played much below true form, lor their loss of tho second test there was no excuse, and the better team won. * LOCAL FIXTURES.
