PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY
A meeting of the Geological Section of the Philosophical Society was held last night. Mr. G. H. Uttley presided over a good attendance. A number of exhibits, ine.uding a collection of shark's teeth, comprising 25 specimens, were shown. These teeth were 3 sent out by. Dr. von Ihering, of South p America. . , . . Dr. J. Henderson read a very mtercsti ing. but technical, paper on "Tho Geology* of the Raglan District.-" ' Many questions were answ-ered after the . paper had been read.
