TO BE FIRED IN MELBOURNE. Colonel R. J.' Collins is not allowing the grass to grow under his feet in connection with .New Zealand's representation in the Empire Riiie Match, to be fired at Melbourno in November. Great Britain is sending out a team of eight men to defend the shield at present held at Home, and it is hoped that teams from Canada and South Africa will compete. Colonel Collins has secured data as to the cost of sending a team of Kevr Zealanders across, and hopes that the Government will help along the project. Speaking to a Dominion reporter yesterday, he said that a big international rifle match had been arranged at Home, 'presumably with, the co-operation of our : Allies 111 the recent war.
