ACUTE SITUATION DEVELOPING,,
DISTURBANCES IN BAGDAD
ißy Telegraph-Press Association«OopjTii;M (Eec. June 18, 11.30 p.m.) Delhi, June 17. The indecision of the policy in Mesopotamia is rapidly developing an acute situation in that country. Several disturbances have lately occurred nt-Bagdad. A certain agitator who was delivering inflammatory speeches- was arrested. Crowds gathered at the mosque and elsewhere collected arms, and set out to rescue the agitator. Rioting occurred when tho police intervened. The number of casualties is unknown. An armoured car was attacked and ■ on a few ■ shots being fired in reply the attackers dispersed. .Recently several respectable Arab residents of Bagdad Have been attacked at night with stones.
