MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., presided over a short .sitting of the Magistrate's Court held on Saturday morning. For being drunk while in charge of a horse and cart in Tory Street, Patri:k Daly was fined 10s., in default 48 hours' imprisonment. William Rhodes Ling was charged that at Napier on October 10, 1919, he (lid steal <i bicycle valued at £10, the property of John Cottercll, also that he had failed to comply with tho terms of his release on probation. He reminded to appear in Napier on February 23. Alfred Evan Smith was charged that on February 12 he stole a bicycle valued at <£5, the property of some person unknown. ■ The accused, who was arrested on Friday, was i-enianded to Wednesday.
