(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, February 13. Onts are still coining forward very freely. and there are excellent reports from farmers as to yields they have obtained. The weislit of chaff per acre from crops nit for chaff is also above expectations. No change can be recorded in prices, but the demand is very keen, and everything offering: is snapped up by merchants without delay. Cocksfoot seed is cornill" in freely. Fir high quality 13lb. ns much as Is. 3d. per lb. on trucks al Little liiver is being pnid, but a mod deal of the 6eed offering contains n large percentage of log and grass, which means a big reduction in price, owing to the loss in dressing. Holders ar<; firm, however, and many with indifferent samples of seed nre asking more than buyers are prepared to give under these circumstances. Some sales of local main crop potatoes for April delivery have been made at £5 10s. per ton on trucks. Prospects for the c.rop are very good at present. The barley market is steady, in spite of some high buying on the part of one or two purchasers. Rome excellent yields are recorded. For good prime grain Bs. pei bushel is the r.iling price.
