RELATED PRINTING TRADES
FEDERATION CONFERENCE ENDED.
The conference of the Related Printing Trades Federation concluded its sittings yesterday.
The following resolution was passed: "That this conferenco deplores the inactivity of the Government in failing to deal with the juggling of essential commodities by tho profiteers."
Tho executive was instructed to forward the demands for a new award, as drawn uu bv the conference, to the employers, and to arrnngo a date for a conference as early as possible. Representatives were appointed to meet the employers. Tho headauarter3 of tho federation will l>o transferred to Christchurch for iv period of two years from the March 31 next.
Tho Typographical Federation and the Related Printing Trades Federation sat in a combined conferenco on certain matters, and it was agreed by the Related Printing Trades delegates that for the future a wholly combined conferenco is desirable.
It was decided to co-opcrata with any branch of the printing trade in the founding of a journal for the printing industry.
