ANNUAL PICNICS
Tho staff of tho Post and Telegraph Department held their annual picnic at Belmont last week under ideal weather conditions. The sports for elders produced some excellent finishes, and tho following were trophy winners:—Stout Street Handicap: Scroinge, 1; Christio, 2. Workshop Handicap: Calcinai, 1; M'lntyro, 2. Office Handicap: Scaddon, 1; M'Artliur, 2. Juniors' Handicap: Mftlin, lj Pearson, 2, Married Ladies': Mrs. Proebstel, 1; Mrs. M'lntosh, 2j Mrs. B*id, 3. Married Ladies (second race): Mrs. Fred. Parker, 1; Mrs. Legar, 2; Mrs. Eeid, 8, Sack Eace: J, Parker, 1; Fumiss and Rangi, 2. Tng-of-war: Stout Street beat Workshops. Open Handicap: Bennett, 1; Skinlcy, 2; linlav, 3. Thread-the-Needle: Miss Hume and M'Arthur, 1; Miss Bajliss and Yates, 2; second race, Miss Scoringe and Mftlin, 1- Mrs. and Mr. M'lntyre, 2. Veterans' Eace: Scoringe, 1; Purtiss, 2.
