TVilliam Greene Colonel Slaughter Alfred Frith Garcon Freddie Wallace Mr. J. J. Jeffries George Willoughby Sylvia Dale Qracic Lsvcn Adelaide Fontaine Milly Encler Mdllo Chi Chi Mndse Elliott Mrs..Marian Thorne Marie Baton Florence j. F'oie Allan Madamo Rabelais Dorothy Walker Page Ella Nugent The Williamson Musical Comedy Company, which is nenring the end of another highly successful season, revived the over-popular "High Jinks" in the Grand Opera House Inst night. This rollicking American farce, with its catchy music and its atmosphere of hilarity, has endured triumphantly tho test of repetition. Its joyfulness ie irresistible, its fun is ; all-pervasive, and its tunes are sure to send a tingle to tho toes of any audience. The 6tofy hinges on Dick Wayne's astonishing High Jinks perfume, which instantly brines all who -use it to a state of reckless and exuberant gaiety. The re--spectable Dr. Thorne has a sniff, and in ronscqnenco is found kissinc the wife of the irascible M. Rii'belnis. Tho aggrieved husband demands either the blood of tha doctor or a kiss from Mrs. Thome, and it is the effort of the parties to provide a substitute wifo for oscillatory purposes that produces a whirlwind of complication and frolic. Brilliant dresses, twinkling feet, pretty faces, sweet melodies, and infectious' laucbter all go to the making of "High Jinks," and the whole is permeated by the catchiest of rnsrtime. The cast has varied considerably since the comedy made its first appearanco in Wellinrton. Mr. Alfred Frith, as Colonel Slaughter, has his original part, and his humour is as rich and pleasant as ever. Miss Grncie Layers is a very winsome and graceful Sylvia Dale. •She docs full iustico to tho tuneful solos belonging to the part, including "Is this Love at Last " "By the Sea." nnd "Bubbles." Miss Madge Elliott, as Mdlle. Chi Chi, is bright and pleasing. And as usual her dancing is altogether charming. She is assisted by Mr. Jack Hooker :'n a clever specialty dance in the second act, Mr. i Jack Hooker and Mr. Balph Harker have w eccentric step dance later in the piece. Miss Milly Engler, as Madame Fontaine, plays well and sings spiritedly. Her solo, [ "Jim," with the male ehoruß, nnd her duet with Mr. Goorjre Willnuirhby. "Corns Hithor," are among the successful imisiI cal numbers. Miss Mario Eaton, Mis 9 Dorothy Walker, Mr. Harry Wootten, < Mr. Field Fisher, Mr. William Greene, and Mr. George Willoushbv all sustain their parts excellently. This comedy provides plenty of work for the attractive chorus, which is a stronc feature of the Williamson Company.' The work of tho orchestra under Mr. Burton was excellent. "Hiuh Jinks" is to bo presented again to-night And to-morrow night, when tho season will bo brought to a close.
