Mr. E. P. Rishworth spoke to the electors at Lower Hutt, and from -the "Chronicle" building, Petone. He congratulated the Liberal candidate on his election, and Mr. Pritchard'on. tho goal fight he had put up, refemnjr to the straightforward methods the Labour candidate had employed. It was qmto evident that the supporters of Reform did not require his service, and he. would b» content to go back to his former mode of life and keep out of the hurly-burly of politics. Still, if they should require his services at some future time be would b; ready to answer tho call of the people. He was* accorded a round of applause. Mr. Wilford thanked the. electors from the "Chronicle" building for having returned him. and Mr. Pritohnrd returned thanks to those who had supported him.
