Y.M.C.A. DEFEAT INSTITUTE.;; The contest between Y.M.C.A. and Institute on Saturday resulted in a win for Y.M.C.A. by 2 goals to 1 after a keenly contested game. FIFTH CRADE CUP (FINAL). At Association Park Marist defeated Seatoun by four goals to nil .in the final for the fifth grade cup. Mr. A. ,E. Wells was referee. SEVENTH GRADE FINAL. At Kilbirnie, Marist (N.) met St. Anne's in the final of the seventh grade cup. These teams had met on two former occasions, the result being a, drajh Marist on .Saturday won a well-contested game by two goals to one. The referea was Mr. H. Yeoman. ' SCOUTS' COMPETITION (SEMI- ' FINALS). The semi-finals of tho Scouts' competition were held at Association Park, St. Paul's defeated St. Thomas's, whilst Institute were too good for St. Peter's. The final will be played between St. Paul's and Institute. SENIOR- CADETS. . Three games were played at Kilbirnie, 17th Company defeated 30-35 A companies by six goals to three. Referee, Mr, W. Anld. 89th A Company defeated 30-35 B Company by 11 goals to nil. Referee, Air. F. 'O'Connell. 39 B Company defeated 33rd Company by three goals to two after an extra 20 minutes had l>een played. Referee, Mr. F. O'Connell.
Mr. E. Windley has been appointed refereo in the Brown Shield match between Wellington and Wanganui, to be played at Athletic Park on Sa'.urday.
