AUSTRALIA V. WELLINGTON A RGCORD_SCORE' The representative match between Australia and Wellington was played at Newtown Park on Saturday. The ground was in ideal condition for fast, open play. Tho Australians ran up tho record scoro of 91 points to 5. The winners' display of football was the best exhibition of brilliant running and passing seen here for a veiy long time, and 6ome of their efforts roused tho spectators to a high state of enthusiasm, and wero greetefl with well-merited applause. The local, forwards put up a goodfkht in tho loose play, but the Australian backs were toojast and nippy, and they started passing rushes right from their own line, going the whole length of the .field to score. Holloway, Cubitt, and Horder wero the pick of the backs, and Watkins, Burge.'and Ryan in-the forwards. Of the local team. Bradley, Morris, and Pollock (back's), and Scott, Childs and Dawo (forwards) plaved well. For tho .winners Cubitt (6), Horder (3), Best (2), Robinson (2), Halloway (2), Watkins, Prentice, Burw, Ryr.n. Norman, and Sweeney scored tries. Burgc converted twelve tries and Norman two. A.
