Clara Rogers Comforts Fund. •Another meeting in connection with the above fund was held in tliG Y.M.C.A. buildings last evening. Mr. Theo. Hills was in the chair. The first part of the proceedings was occupiea .by discussing the arrangements in connection with the concert which is to bb given by Mr. Culford. Bell's Comedy Company, "The Thespians," ncx« Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. J. The resignations of Sisters Drewitt and Smith and Staff Nurse Leech from the Christchurch Hospital staff were accepted oh Thursday by the North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.

Mr. George Armstrong (Madam 6 Molba's son) has received a cablegram from America (says the Sydney "Sun"; stating that Madame Melba sustained serious injury in the accident she mei with at Fort Worth, Texas, while singing in "Faust.' 1 - According to the cablegram, she sustained a fracture o. the wrist, and received a number o. severe bruises on the body.
