BILLIARDS
This evening the semi-finals of the CrystaLate Cup championship will be contested at Messrs. Alceck and Co.'s showrooms. The players, A. ,T. : Congdon (Commercial and Farmers' Club, Masterton) v. H. Shanks (Dominion Club), and J. H. Owen (Wellington Club) v. G. Dyhberg (Marist Brothers' Club). All these gentlemen have . raro ability as amateur cueists, and exceptionally good play can bo anticipated with confidence. As accommodation is limited to invitation holders, they are reminded that seats can only bo reserved until fivo minutes before play commences. Tho first game starts at 7 p.m.
