MASTERTON NOTES
A sum of £670 has been received by the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board; from the Defence Department for patients' fees from January 1 to March 31. Plans have been, prepared for comprehensive additions to the fever ward at the ■Masterton Hospital. The third of a series of tournaments under the auspices of the Wairarapa Boxing Association was held on Friday night, in which a number of soldiers from the Fcatherston Gamp took part. The fighting was of a high ordei, a particularly Rood exhibition being given by Kelland and Curran, in the Welter-weight/ and lightweight divisions respectively. District Nurse Nickless has tendered her resignation to the AVairarapa Hospital Board, because she had been ordered to t do relieving duty at the Public Hospitals, which she stated was not in the terms of her appointment.
