In the Sontli the endeavour to obtain a fair share of the men for the next draft to go into camp is being, maintained. It is stated that Otago has close 011 900 men on its waiting list, ami that over 750 of tbese havo been passed as lit. It is reckoned that tho Otago district will raise quito 1000 men for the October force. The authorities some little time ago said that the total number of men called up for October would be 5000. It is reckoned that tlie Auckland District has about 2000 men on its waiting; list. Tho Hon. Dr. Jl.'Nab and Mr. C. J. Parr, M.P., travelled to Dunedin last week and spoke at a recruiting rally there on Monday evening. During his Dunedin speeeb, Dr. M'Nab stated tbat by Juno 30 next over 50,000 young men would have gono from t'hese shores. . The following men have onltsted in Wellington Ebnneza James, clerk.
