PATRIOTIC FUNDS
(To the Editor.) gi rj —x regret that tfle person who. wrote under the heading of "Patriotic Funds" and signed himself "Look Before You Leap' 1 in your issue of September 11 did not follow the advice contained in his nom de plume, and make inquiries from tho secretary of the Wairarapa Funds before making statements that are inaccurate. The grant of a sum up to one thousand pounds voted by the Wairarapa executive to erect a social hall at Taulicrinikau was not made, from ■ the Belgian Relief, Wounded Soldiers', or any of tho other relief funds.
