FARMERS AND THE WAR,
' Sir,—Last year the Premier appealed to those farmers owning aralilo land to sow an increased breadth of land with wheat., The necessity for,.this still remains, and the Premier -might again urge his request with benefit to growers and consumers. A request might also bo made to those farmers who make-a practice of killing the bull calves, /not to do .so'this year, but' to rear soma of tliem to avoid a meat famine shortly. The public at large, by insisting ujion having whole-meal bread, instead of white bread, would not only improvo their own health, but would mako the flour go ten per cent, further than it does at present.—l am, ete., BACK BLOCKER.
