!THE THIRTY-NINE "REPRISALS." London, Juno 25. The Press Bureau states that the thirty-nine officers who had been selected for special treatment as a reprisal for Britain's isolation of submarine prisoners, and subsequently released on the cessation of tile British system of segregation, have been returned to their former places of detention. A' Wliito paper which has been published recapitulates the evidence which has been collected by the Government concerning the treatment of prisoners of • ■war in Germany during the first eiglit months of the war. It shows that these ivero invidiously and vindictively .treatedherded together in; an-almost "starv--ing condition.; L. The report emphasises the -humane '"treatment accorded German prisoners in 'England throughout. It is officially stated that Britain has been informed through the Amerieaji ■Embassy that sixty-five British prisoners at Ali Akarah Hissar are being treated (well and aro in good health. • ENGLISH,AND CANADIAN WOUNDED. Page) has transmitted a Teport from Dr. Ohnesorg, an '.'American naval attache at Berlin/ on a visit to the wounded in a German (hospital northward of Ypres. The English and Canadian patients, he says, expressed satisfaction with their treat.
