GOOD PROSPECTS FOR SALVING. Brisbane! February 15. The Marsina lies in a good position for salving. It is expected to refloat her. Tugs are assisting. The passengers and mails have been landed. [The Burns Philp steamer Marsina, bound from Port Moresby (New Guinea) to Sydney, went ashore on D Reef, five miles south of Cooktown, last Thursday night. It was understood she bad some troops from New Guinea aboard.] (Rec. Febrnary 16, 1.25 a.m.) Brisbane, February 15. The Marsina's passengers, mails, and bullion have been safely landed. Salvage'work is proceeding, and tho prospects of floating the vessel are good.
