Chrlstchurcli, August 4. : The Hanmsr Sanatorium was burned to tho ground this morning, About 4 o clock a fire broke out' which , completely demolished the extensive niiin building. The doctor and staff made every eftorttb subdue- tho flames, but without avail...All l|he inmates, havo lost all their belongings, as the'flames , .had a good hold before the wardsmim gave the first alarm. The maids were taken in at' Mrs. Lahmert's, and Mr. Ashton accommodated Dr. and Mrs. Roe and their young son. Fortunately,- there were .no patients in,the Sanatorium at tho time. The cause of the firo is unknown 4s the matron made Jier usual round before retiring,and everything then appeared to be 6afe. **
