RUGBY

ATTRACTIONS FOR THIS AFTERNOON.^ Considerable interest attaches to tho remaining games of the senior championship, and this afternoon I'etono meet Athlotic at Petdne, and one of tho best gamos 'of the season is expected. A special train will leave Lombton at 2.25,, and tickets for dhe ground will be sold on the train to avoid the rush at the gates. At Athletic Park, AVellihgton have to meet Poneke, which should produce a kgeu struggle, also as a defeat to Wellington at this stage would practically settle their chances for the championship. There will bo the usual early games to interest' those who arrive early. 'At Lower Hutt University meet Oriental.
