Hiley, since his arrival in tho Dominion in the middle of last session, has been ■ travelling' very extensively over tho railway system of both Islands. It is known that tho report is going to be of a most comprehensive character, and its recommendations for necessary improvements in the system will in all probability involve the country in an oxpendituro of a considerable sum of money. To an' interviewer to-day, tho Prime Minister said that he need not discuss the prospective report in specific terms, but he could say that ho know a considerable sum of money would bo required to givo effect to the improvements which will bo suggested to the Government by the new General Manager. Mr. Massey added that he did not know when tho report would be available, but Mr. Hiloy was busily engaged in its preparation.
