MOTOR-CAR RUNS AWAY.
PASSENGERS INJURED.
(Ey Telcjraph.-Press Association.) Wostpori, December '22. A motor-car accident occurred on the B tiller Gorge Road to-day, whereby Mrs. Tyers, wife of Mr. Tyers, of Christcluirch, formerly of the Incomc Tax Department. fractured a leg, an eight-year-old lad named Liddy fractured a thigh, and a man named Bowman j;ot severely bruised. There u'ero several others in the car, which ran away just as the drivers had changed at the top or Burloy's Hill, and went over an embankment, but the rest escaped with slight injuries. The car was badly damaged. At the hospital to-night Mrs. Tycrs's foot was amputated above the ankle.
