Ha Herries), being desirous of meeting thd wishes of thoso resident; of Auckland wli<y havo asked for a public inquiry into tho recont railway collision at New Lynn (a, suburb of Auckland), has obtained an, opinion from,the Crown Law Office as toi whether ho has power to authorise the holding of such an inquiry.
