INSURANCE FOR PLAYERS. Tho first meeting of the newly-elected Management Committee of the Wellington l'ootball Association was held last evening Mr. B. L. Salmond presiding. Tho lollowing were also present: Messrs. X* W. Duncan, T. Thompson, C. J\. Dick, 11. Yoeman, A. E. Wells, and A. Williams (secretary). Tho Thistle Club were granted permission to play a match against Wanganui, at Wanganui, at Easter. Tho Boys' Institute Club wero granted permission to play a team from Christchurch, on Easter Monday. Y.M.C.i. l-lub were also granted permission to plav Auckland Y.M.C.A. Fourth Division representatives on Saturday, March 2"> Both visiting teams are to arrive in Weilingtoii to-morrow.

It was decided that all entries for all competitions close on Tuesday, April 8. A schools' sub-committee, consisting of Messrs. H. Yeoman, ,T. Howitt. and C. I\.. The question of an insurance scheme for players was discussed at length. It was finally decided that the secretary send out a circular letter to the effect that if club's are in favour of tlio proposal a general meeting of players will bo called to discuss the- whole question. It was suggested that players be asked to contribute' one shilling and -sixpence to tho insurance fund on signing the necessary registration form. It was decided that a fixtures card be printed, the design to be the same as last season's card. It was further decided that tenders be called for the right to issue the official programme of fixtures.
