T«l«srraDh—Prssß Association—Ooni'riirbt London, March 18 The Secretary of State for the Colonics (Mr. Lewis Harcourt) in reply to a question in the House of Commons, said Ijo lias been communicating with the Gi»--ernor of Fiji regarding the frequency r.f murders due to marital jealousy aris'ng out of the inadequate number of women among the Indian labourers .under the indentured immigration, and the Governor did not see grounds for commuting four recent sentences. Mr. Harcourt did not think a special inquiry was nccussary.
