ONCE MORE, THE PEA RIFLE. . (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Blenheim, March 10. A shooting mishap. occurred yesterday, when James Neil, whilst .working at n. flaxmill, was struck down by a bullet from -a pea rifle. Tho bullet oamo from across tho river, passed'tlirough n canvas partition, and struck Neil in tho back, near the left shoulder. Ho was taken to tho hospital, and is now in a serious condition. ■ Later In tho day tho polico arreted two boys—Frederick Jvcilsen and William Altwood, each about 1G years of age—on a charge of shooting Neil. It is stated that the boys wcro firing from a pea rillc at a can oii a post, and 0110 shot missed tho can and struck Noil.
