From now onwards until November tho Presidential campaign will bo in full blast. Mr. Taft, in a speech officially accepting tho Republican nomination, said ho frankly recognised the prevailing popular unrest, and promised to satisfy it. He urged the necessity of legislation to secure for tho poor an equality of opportunity with tho rich, and announced that his chief planks would bo the integrity of the Constitution, and tho maintenance of business prosperity, and inoderaio scientific protection, as against the Democrats proposed revenue tariff.
Mr. Toft added that the Republicans, unlike the Democrats, have a normal constructive programme which they are ready and able to carry out
