ALLEN DOONE SEASON
On Saturday next, Mr. George Itarlow will introduce to Wellington theatregoers . Allen Doone, tho Irish singing comedian and romantic actor, in the musical comedy-drama, "Sweet County Kerry," with which piece Mr. Doone has completed a successful tour through the United- States and Canada, and was introduced to Australia by Mr. George. Marlow, under whose management he has already ' appeared in Melbourne, Sydnoy, and Brisbane. "Sweet County Kerry" will be the opening production in Wellington, and will be for a limited number of nights only. It will bo followed by a number of other - plays—all new to New Zealand—these including "A Romance in Ireland," "Molly Bawn," and "In Old Donegal." Mr. Dooue comes to the Dominion *v.ith the reputation of being a good actor and the possessor of a serviceable tenor voice, which he uses to advantage. Tho character of Dan O'Hnra in the opening piece ("Sweet County Kerry") bus been played by Mr. Doone over 1800 times in tho United States and Canada. The box plan is now open at the Dresden for the first five nights of the season.
