Last year 4,061,780 tons of conl were exported from Newcastlo, tho estimated value of which was J, 110,029, which is an incrcaso of 103,791 tons, and in value of ,£105,405. Tho exports to New Zealand totalled 333,20S tons, compared witli 318,495 tons for tho previous year. Exports of other items decreased by ,£30,752, whilst imparts increased by ■£161,013.
