Lantelme, an actress, who was drowned in the Rhine in July, and stole her jewels, including a pearl necklace Talued at 100,000 francs. During tho subsequent police investigations tho grave-diggers attempted to ventilate the grave by dropping into it lighted newspapers, -which accidentally ignited the shroud. Tho coffin burst into flame,
and firemen had to bo summoned to suppress it.
