ENTERPRISE IN SEEKING SETTLERS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrietal London, October 31. Mr. W. L. Baillieu, Victorian Minister for Public Health, in a letter to "Tho Times," says it is significant that tho Federal Labour Government has spent moro than any previous Government in advertising the Commonwealth for the British emigrant. The trade unions seemed to recognise that they could no longer justify their opposition to a vigorous immigration policy. If Australia would make assisted emigration general, her population would soon equal that of Canada.
