MONTHLY MEETING. '. The monthly moeting of tho Welling- , ton Harbour Board was held last night. There were present: The chairman (Mr. | R. Fletcher), and Messrs. P. C. Freeth, A. H. Hindmarsh, J. E. The Eastbourne v proposal was to drive spring-piles to " make the wharf workablo by the steam- )' ers in rough weather, but the officers of , tho board were of opinion that these piles would not bo satisfactory, and on the ? harbourmaster's recommendation the : board decided that rope fenders on tho f corners of the wharf be tried.
