HERD TESTING IN OTHER LANDS.
In Denmark there aro 500 cow-testing Associations; in Sweden, as many more, and in Norway and other countries of Europe several hundred. There were 170 in l)enlnark within five vears after tin 1 }" first started. In the United States there wero only 20 of:these associations at tho end of five years. In Canada about sixty cow-testiug associations have been formed. In the United States there are in all 55 such associations, located as follow:— M'i.-consin, eleven; Vermont, nine; Maine, seven; Michigan, six; lowa, five; California nnd Ohio, three .■safch;. Pennsylvania and New ,Yprk, two each; and Washington, Connecticut, Colorado, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Oregon, Marylaud, and Illinois, ono each.
