SHANNON.
A very successful concert was held in tho Druids' Hall on Friday night in aid of the widow of Mr. \V. Ryan, who was. recently killed on the Main Trunk line. Tho programme was op?ned by an overture by the local orchestra (Mif-s Lanrvig, Messrs. Law, Merwood, and Hook). Tlio following also contributed to the programme:—Miss Smith, Master Merwood, Mr. J. Berry, Miss Laurvig, Mr. Colder, Mrs. Norman, Mr. Cooper, Miss Pauline Brown, Mr. A. H. Yates, Miss Mumford, Mr. J. Curran, Mrs. Hall, Mr. Berry, and Mr. Tolc. Mr. M. Moynihan then came forward, and, on behalf of Mrs. Ryan, thanked the committee and the performers and tho audience for the assistance which they had so readily volunteered. There was a cood attendance at tho dance which followed.
