— • EVERTON GR ANGE IN WEL'V • ' LINGTON. ' Tho .steamer Evorton Grange, from Liverpool via Australian ports, arrived from Sydney'yesterday and dropped anchor in tho stream. This vessel nad an untoward experience. A few hours after leaving Port Adelaido (South Australia) on January 6 sho grounded on tbo Kingscoto Spit, off Kangaroo' Island, and lay thero Quito fast for a week. In'itho meantime nssistanco was summoned, somo of tho.cargo was lightered, and with tho help of a couplo of steam : tugß the vessel was pulled off into deep water.: Tho'diver who'examined -tho ,ve{«cl reported that tho only harm doito was tho loss of tho paint which had been! scratched off somo of tho vessel's lower plates. With tho blue watjer of the' Big lit flowing' clear un'dor ber koel tho Evorton Grange continued on her voyage to Melbourne'and SydnoJ'. Tho Evorton Grango had 100 passengers "ui board when'sho ran aground.
