Wellington Wedding. A pretty wedding took place at tho Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, yesterday afternoon, when Mr. Pasley Clevc Powell, son of Mr. J. J. K. Powell, was to Miss Violet May Uphani, of Hopper Street. Miss Lily Powell was bridesmaid, and Mr. B. Powell was best man. The Hon. Roderick M'Keiizie, uncle of Miss / Uphani, gave tho bride away. The bride ' was dressed in cream silk voile, with veil and orange blossoms., Miss Powell woro pale silk voile, with black, liat, with bouquet of .pirik sweet' peas. The Rev. Mr. Serpell officiated. -The wedding party afterwards adjourned to .Ponsonby Hall, where tho wedding breakfast was. laid. Tho Rev. Mr. Serpell proposed tho health of the bridegroom, which ,was also musically honoured. The health of Mr. and Mr.". J. J. K. Powell,' and also of the bride's parents, was proposed by the Hon. R. Wedding at Palmers'-on. At St. Andrew'? Presbyterian Church, Palmerston, yesterday, Mr. Herbert Goile, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Goile, of Pavewanui, was married by the liev. A. Doull, M.A., to ' Miss Elizabeth Felix, second daughter of Mrs. E. Emery, of Sydney Street, Petone. The bride'was prettily dressed in white silk, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, with pearl and ruby brooch, the gift of .the bridegroom.. Carterton Wedding. . 1 At the Presbyterian Church, Carterton, on "Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. M. Harris was married to Mr. G. E. Allen, of Tar.atalii. The ceremony was performed by the Piev. L. A.
