The following .items are supplied by the Commonwealth cable service:— At a cphferenco at Berne, Switzerland, 1 the question of, the admission to' Switzerland of Argentine, frozen meat Was discussed. As a .result it is expected, that the Federal Council will recommend its immediate admission, and that the regulations .will require that whole carcasses be shipped. A sccond .shipment of 050 ■ tons.of-Argen-tine'meat has, been landed at Trieste, Austria-Hungary. . / . Co-operative societies at Vienna have / secured.-145,600 kilos (nearly 55 tons) at tho price of .1.25 kronen (about Is. O-Jd.) per kilo (a kilogramme is rather more than 21b. 30z.). This includes all charges Dn the meat landed at Yipna. It is understood the Austrian Government ; will grant a special concession to ( th«: Argentine with, regard to the impor.fetion of certain parts of the beasts.
