Thoro are a large nuinbor of farmers who own stock that could successfully compete with-tho liest 6hown at various A. and P. shows, but for some reason or other they are'never seen in the-prizo ring. Wo wonder it' these persons have ever considered the enhaned value that a first or even a second prize would give to the 'animals who win them, and the extra demand there would be for their progeny.' It is never too late to malto a start, and tho Feilding Show, to be held on February 7 aud 8, offers exceptional opportunities for farmers to make their initial attempt. As entries close on Friday, January 20, those contemplating sending exhibits should apply to the office of this paper or to the secretary for a prize list.
