ASHBURTON SHOW.
(By Ttlecraph.— Press Association.)
Ashburton, November 2. . The Ashburton Agricultural and Pastoral Association's show was opened today, in beautiful weather. The entries were about 200 less than last year's, but some very, fine animals were exhibited. The sheep pens were well occupied by a good 'selection of various breeds, though in numerous cases there were but few competitors. Leicester were most strongly represented, R. Tarbottoh and J.. Bonifant sweeping ,all before then in English, while W. Anderson, was most successful ..with Borders. The produce classes were, as usual, very heavily entered for, and cattle were also well to the front. Only a section of the horses have been judged. The attendance was poor today,, but a record crowd is expected tomorrow, when the Governor will be present. .
