Thesa statements were founded on a recent "instance in which a Dunedin building firm secured a contract for the erection of a building in Wellington.. It was cxplainid that tenders had not been called publicly for this work. So far as members, who attended'the meeting were- aware,' tenders wierb'-not called "locally at all.
