HAWKE'S BAY DISCUSSION. (By Telecraph.—Special Correspondent.! Napier, July 1. At this morning's meeting of tho Hawke's Bay A. and P. Society, Mr. R. H. Tod suggested that 1 a committee of twenty farmers bo set up to make observations during tho lambing season to ascertain tho causo of the antepart'em protrusion of the . vagina, a diseaso from which about 4 per ce;it. of the ewes- in Hawke's Bay have succumbed annually, representing a loss of, say, £40,000. ■ The. chairman, Mr. A. H. Russell, was of opinion that the loss was overestimated. Mr. H. M*Donald thought it was a matter for investigation- He had lost large numbers of. ewes, from this cause, and would like to see the matter gone into.
