SMOKE • • Tho Wellington 'Rowing Club held the annual smoko concert at Scott's Rooms, Manners last light. Several officials of the Neiv Zealand Rowing Association and Wei lint; ton Rowing Association were present and there was a Icieo attendance) of members. Mr. W. Nidd was in , the chair. Toasts honoured included "The King," 'Kindred Clubs and Sports,". proposed by Mr. ,T. E. Crawford and responded to by Mr. Butler; proposed by Mr W. A. Gemmell and responded to by Mr. A. D.l Bayfield; "Wellington Rowing Association," proposed by Mr. W. Shilling and responded to by Mr. Widdop. In replying to the last-named tcast, Mr. Widdop threw out a suggestion that tho next Now Zoaland championship regatta should be held at Wellington. Musical items were contributed by Messrs. D. Kenny, Barry, Furness, and G. Jones, and altogether members spent a most enjoyable evening. During an interval in the programme, tho chairman presented tho prizes won during the season.
